Learn how to make your own delicious homemade sourdough bread in this hands-on workshop, using only flour, water with a bit of salt. There are no commercial yeasts used in this bread, only an artisan starter, that I have lovingly cared for years. You will take home your own loaf, at the point of allowing it to have its final rise, then bake it at home that night.
This is a foundation sourdough workshop, specifically for people with little or no experience in sourdough breadmaking, or even if you just need a refresher!
- your bread that you will make
- a sourdough starter to take home
- a delicious lunch made from homegrown, local, and seasonal ingredients
- recipes and detailed information to care for your starter and future breadmaking adventures.
It also includes almost all your materials and equipment to use on the day, so you only need to bring a bowl or bread tin, some enthusiasm, and a sense of fun!
There are some bread tins and bannetons available for sale, separately, on the day if required.
