Learn to make delicious feta, and a simple soft curd cheese, in this fun, hands-on workshop.  You will be guided through the step-by-step process of making feta and shown a simple technique for your own homemade cottage cheese, using fresh, locally sourced cow’s milk.  You will take home your handmade feta (which will still need some draining overnight) and taste the fresh soft curd cheese during the class.

$110 pp includes

  • your feta cheese to take home
  • 2 feta baskets to take home for future cheesemaking
  • a delicious lunch made from homegrown, local, and seasonal ingredients
  • recipes for future cheese making adventures.

If you choose the 2 person-1 batch option ($170)- you can make 1 batch of cheese, together, to take home. Perfect for partners, or family members that only want to make a single batch of cheese. Your lunch is still included for both of you in this option.

If you want to come as a couple or group, and make your own cheeses singularly- choose the 1 person option and increase the number to how many are in your party.

Your materials and equipment to use on the day are all included, so you only need to bring some enthusiasm, and a sense of fun!

Because of Covid restrictions, we had to wait for this family birthdays ‘indulgence day’ for a long time… It was well worth the wait, and then some. We spent a lovely day together, with a nice bunch of people, learning and doing and tasting and eating. Christine is a personable and knowledgeable teacher who obviously loves what she does and she does it brilliantly. We had a wonderful time and the resulting Feta is promising. Thank you Christine.

Thank you so much Rony. It was lovely meeting you and your family. And thank you for your patience during the covid cancellations. 😊

Christine’s fetta making workshop was a lovely birthday present that my wife gave me as I enjoy all types of cooking. I had a ball and was really suprised at how straight forward cheese making was. Christine was a delight. Knowledgeable, fun and organised and a very good cheesemaker. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop and any other of Christine’s workshop to anyone. Young and old. We had a broad range of ages in our group of lovely people. If you like cooking you couldn’t find a better place to spend 5 hours. Thanks Christine

We loved Christine’s cheese making workshop for our work break-up activity. Christine takes absolute pride in her workshops and the home made food that we indulged in during the day was super yummy!! The four of us had a fantastic day and will definitely be back for future workshop. Our cheese turned out beautifully too!!

Thankyou so much Jodie! I loved having you, and your crew from Borewell at my workshop. I’m so glad you enjoyed the day, and that your cheese turned out 🙂
