Food from the heart

In the heart of Gippsland, Victoria, aspiring home cooks, passionate foodies and excited groups of friends and families have joined me to learn more about the art of delicious, simple, homemade cooking. Whether you are a seasoned cook or a stranger to the kitchen, I welcome everyone to my workshops and classes to discover and create wonderful recipes using local, seasonal and homegrown produce. From healthy budget friendly meals to making gourmet cheese, you will have lots of great recipes to take away with you.

I am a passionate cook with a love for authentic food and cooking from the heart. My workshops are easy because cooking great food is simple – sometimes we just need a little encouragement. My classes take place in Leongatha, surrounded by beautiful countryside and the stunning Strzelecki Ranges. Every class is fun, relaxing and full of useful tips and tricks to help take your cooking to the next level.

Fun, easy cooking

Learn how to make your own gourmet cheese, sourdough and yeast breads and much more. I will take you through the process of each dish, step by step, as you learn to make your own culinary creations. Everything you cook you can take home to proudly share with your family and friends.

In-Home Cooking Parties

Ever thought of hosting your own cooking event?

What a perfect way to have a hands-on experience in your own kitchen with friends and family. Remember, that your lovely food will be there for everyone to enjoy after the class. This is a great way to cater for a party and have some fun with your friends along the way!

Tell me more

It is as simple as this. You host the event, and I will bring all the necessary equipment, ingredients and of course, myself.

Plan it as a surprise for a family event or a friend’s birthday. Choose the meal we will all learn to cook and leave the rest to me.

“No-one is born a great cook, one learns by doing.”

A little about me

I have been sharing my passion for food for over 30 years now. As a mother and grand-mother I have had plenty of opportunity to explore tasty recipes with lots of hungry tummies to feed around my house. You could say I am a nurturer by nature – and cooking is my platform. You can usually find me roaming in my garden where I grow my own produce. When I am not exercising my green thumb I spend a lot of time in the heart of my home – my kitchen.

My Monthly Tips

My top 4 ways to enjoy homemade halloumi

The old favourite – cut into slices and lightly fry or BBQ. Squeeze a little lemon over the top and enjoy!

Make a homemade omelette and add your halloumi slices into and on top. You won’t regret it.

Keep your halloumi whole and score the top side. Drizzle with a little oil and pop it under the grill until nice and charred.  Drizzle with a little honey and serve it with a homemade or store bought fig jam – delicious.

Crumb your Halloumi using Panko crumbs. Fry until nice and golden. I like to serve this with my homemade tomato and chilli jam.
